Product Overview
Bulk material handling operations can generate significant amounts of dust, affecting port areas and their surroundings. Whether handling coal, grain, iron ore, or chemical powders, particle sizes can range from 1 µm to 50 mm, creating health risks and environmental pollution.
To prevent the generation and spread of dust during unloading operations, ISKAR has engineered and developed the Dust Lock mobile hopper — a mobile hopper equipped with dust-suppressing loading grids, high-capacity bag filters, and a truck loading chute for complete dust-free unloading from ship to shore.
ISKAR DUSTLOCK mobile hoppers are reliable and efficient units mounted on rubber wheels with a jacking system, allowing them to be positioned on specially designed load-bearing panels. The load-equalizing framework ensures structural safety, long service life, and safe, continuous unloading operations.

Dust Prevention Technology
The extended dust shroud above the hopper inlet creates a sheltered area for the loading grab. It protects the material from wind and external influences during loading and prevents the lateral spread of dust as the material passes through the trash grid.
The DUSTLOCK mechanism functions like a one-way non-return valve positioned beneath the hopper grid. Made of steel and flexible rubber panels, the DUSTLOCK allows material to enter the hopper while preventing dust from rising when the material impacts the hopper walls.
The filters create negative pressure inside the hopper, containing the product and dust while removing dust from the extracted air. The reverse-jet filter system collects dust in reusable filter bags and periodically uses pulses of compressed air to release the collected dust back into the product.
